How do I take a patient's picture in Advantage?

With the patient selected, click Edit -> Picture.
After clicking “Picture” you will be brought to this screen. Select Picture from the “Select profile” drop-down and click Scan. You should have set this up when you followed the steps to set your camera and scanner up the camera and scanner setup guide.
The image capture box opens. If you have a picture in the box, click Capture and you are done. If you have a picture here, skip step 4.
1. 1. If you have a green box, close the capture screen, close the TS Scan window, unplug the camera, plug it back in, and repeat the process to take a picture.
  2. If you have a black box in the picture field, make sure the camera cover is not closed.
  3. If you have a black box and the cover is open, you need to change some settings. Start by clicking the “Format” button and proceed to step 4.
On this screen match the settings below by selecting the options from the drop-down menus and click “OK”.
1. Resolution: 640 x 480
2. Pixel Depth: YUY2
You should now have an image preview in the window from step 3. Click the “Capture” button to take the patient’s picture.
